Philips S9211/26 - Series 9000 Wet & Dry Men's Electric Shaver with Precision Trimmer

It has been many years since my first shaver (that was a Phillips too), I loved it and I have to say I'm not disappointed with this one either. The unit is kept, charged and cleaned using the included stand. I always clean the heads under a hot tap and I find this keeps the cleaning agent very fresh. Because of the built in cleaning function when you use the shaver it smells and feels like it's new each and every shave. Personally I use the shaver dry - not because it can't be used wet, just that I've been very happy with the results this way. Another excellent product Phillips, many thanks.

I love the wet and dry Phillips series 9000 shaver, it has a clear, easy read digital display, fast charge time, light weight with a comfortable grip and it is easy to clean. The 3 flexible heads are a great feature, not only do they reduce shaving time but they follows the contours of your chin and neck ensuring close contact with the skin, allowing you to get the close shave you are after. The flexible heads also mean you apply less pressure to trim the hairs which in turn reduces skin irritation, which is great because I have to shave every day. Over all I am very pleased with this wet and dry shaver and I would definitely recommend this product

The trimmer that comes with this product is very handy as the shaver does not give a clean shave on a beard that is 4+ days. This however is advertised as being a shaver to use on a 1-3 day old beard and it does an exceptional job. If i go over the 3 days i use the trimmer to trim the beard down so it is easy to use the shaver. The shaver is very lightweight and is a great fit in your hand, it is also very easy to use and leaves a really good finish. I rarely need to go over the same area twice. The head is also easy to remove to use the trimmer attachment and i like the digital display which shows when it needs cleaning and how much charge it has left.

The series 9000 shaver provides a surprisingly close shave, closer than any other electric shaver I have used in the past. I also have quite sensitive skin and have experienced no irritation when using the 9000 shaver. It is very user-friendly and comes with a nice travel case, as well as a precision trimmer; this is very useful for edging. However, it doesn't cut as close as the actual shaver head. As it says on the box, it works best with shorter hair 1-3 day growth. I found that if the hairs were too long, the shaver would struggle to lift and cut it. The shaver can be used as a wet or dry shaver which is very useful if you wish to shave in the shower. Personally, I prefer to use it dry. It also has a lock function, so it doesn't start up when you're traveling around. The battery lasts for a long time, also charges pretty quickly. It would be nice if the shaver came with some sort of stand to house it and the attachments. Overall it is a great electric shaver, the best I have used regarding closeness and comfort. I would not go back to traditional wet shaving with a razor as it irritates my skin, the series 9000 also cuts much closer than my other electric shaver does. I would recommend this product.

After using this shaver for a number of weeks I have to say first and foremost this is the best electric shaver I have ever used. The ease of use of the product is brilliant, everything from changing/cleaning the individual blades to charging the shaver is extremely durable and easy to use. Shaving takes no time at all, personally I prefer a wet shave which works very well but the razor does also work quite well if dry shaving. Unlike other brands this has caused no skin irritation at all. Changing the head to the precision trimmer is very easy and is just a case of popping off 1 head and connecting the other and the precision trimmer also works quite well. Charging the unit takes no time at all however as usual the shaver comes with a bathroom type socket but the shaver cannot be used when charging. Would be better if the shaver came with either a standard plug socket or a bathroom adapter so that people could charge the unit elsewhere.

Light in weight yet robust - a HIGH quality finish product. Very good as a dry shave however superb for wet shaves and best used with non foaming gel. Yes!, the quick auto cleaner works a treat though not essential as easy to remove heads in one piece and clean under the tap. Battery lasts for about 20+ shaves and recharges in less than an hour. Trimmer works well too. Case compact and knock resistant for protection. Causes NO skin irritation, especially if used wet. Used to shave with a blade but not anymore. All in all an excellent shaver, however, make sure you don't pay list price which is excessive.

Shaving performance excellent and razor is extremely quiet. Trimmer head is very efficient. However I don't care for the inconvenience of not having the trimmer as part of the razor and the shaving head is unnecessarily difficult to open. The pouch isn't great and has no space for the trimmer. Cleaning system is very large and clumsy. The power supply is of a configuration that is inconvenient for some overseas sockets In a nutshell, this model performs its essential functions very well -- does a better job than my HQ series. Not nearly so user-friendly, however, and the travel pouch really does need to be improved.

I have tried electric shavers before and have been left unimpressed I was however won over by this. my 1 day shave was very easy, I did a dry shave and was surprised with not only how quick but how close it was, I paired it with the Philips oneblade trimmer for perfect results. It feels very light in the hand but very ergonomic to hold and was much quieter in operation that I was expecting. This gave me a much closer shave, I followed the included instructions and it worked a wonder on my face, it did however not work as well on my neck and did leave me itchy for an hour or so after which no longer effects me now I am used to using it. 1 hour charge time offers 50 mins of shaving which is great on the go or on holiday. I found the 3 day shave not as good as the one day each face will be different but I would advise sticking to a one day shave with this product for best results.
